The Claims Manager oversees the analysis, preparation, and resolution of construction claims. They ensure
compliance with contractual and legal requirements, coordinate documentation, support negotiations, and help
protect the organization’s interests while maintaining constructive relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the preparation, analysis, and management of construction claims, including delays, changes, and cost
impacts.
• Review contracts, project documentation, schedules, and financial data to assess entitlement and quantify claims.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, legal advisors, and external partners to gather evidence and validate
claim positions.
• Prepare clear, structured, and well supported claim files, reports, and negotiation briefs.
• Participate in negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to reach fair and timely resolutions.
• Monitor potential risks and issues throughout project execution to identify claim opportunities or mitigation
strategies early.
• Ensure all claim processes comply with contractual obligations, legal and commercial requirements, and company
standards.
• Support continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned and contributing to the development of best
practices in claims management.
Requirements
• 7 to 10 years of experience in the construction industry (building sector).
• University degree or College Diploma in Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in procurement, project execution, and project close out.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, contract administration, and project financials.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role, which is
$90,000–$,140,000
. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity. Base salary is one component of EBC’s comprehensive total rewards offering, which may include performance-based incentives, extended health and wellness benefits, retirement savings programs, and career development opportunities.
