ALTIX-MGI is a French-based company specializing in equipment for the electronic industries, and it is seeking a Customer Service Engineer for its North American subsidiary. The successful applicant will be responsible for servicing equipment in the customer field and may manage a service team in the medium term.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure installation, maintenance, preventive maintenance on ALTIX-MGI’s equipment
- Upgrade equipment on-site
- Train operators, maintenance persons and process engineers to the new equipment
- Support customer for process and be able to distinguish an issue coming from process or equipment
- Enable to provide technical recommendations and evolvement to customers
- Be able to pro-actively promote upgrade and spare parts to enhance business
- Promote actively spare parts & retrofit by visiting our customers
- Other duties as assigned by the General Manager
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 to 5 years' experience in Service for technical equipment or related
- Familiar with PLC system such as Siemens, Beckhoff (ladder, flowchart…) and be able to identify the blocking point
- Good at problem solving, and feel comfortable with Mechanical and Electrical issues
- Ability to use standard computer software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and feel comfortable with any software applications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Independent worker & ability to show leadership
- Willing to travel within the US and Canada, plus in France for training
