We are seeking an experienced Material Manager to oversee material planning, tracking, inventory control, and logistics support across multiple construction and operational projects in Texas. This role will coordinate with project teams, contractors, vendors, procurement, engineering, and accounting to ensure materials are properly managed throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate material planning, tracking, receiving, storage, transfers, and reconciliation across multiple projects
- Monitor material movement between warehouses, laydown yards, and field locations
- Support project schedules by ensuring timely material availability and resolving shortages or discrepancies
- Work closely with field teams, contractors, vendors, procurement, engineering, and accounting groups
- Maintain accurate material records, inventory reports, and tracking documentation
- Support vendor coordination, expediting, invoice reconciliation, and procurement activities
- Conduct field visits to verify deliveries, inventory, and material handling practices
- Identify opportunities to improve material management and logistics processes
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in material management, inventory control, logistics, construction support, or project operations
- Experience supporting multiple field projects and coordinating material movement
- Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, receiving, and reconciliation processes
- Experience working with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and inventory/project tracking systems
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction, utility, infrastructure, industrial, or energy environments
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, field logistics, and material tracking systems
- Experience supporting project cost tracking and financial reconciliation
