Kasa is a tech-enabled hotel and apartment hotel brand that partners with property owners to deliver stylish accommodations. The Project Manager will oversee the execution of complex property launches, coordinating with various teams to ensure successful outcomes on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the planning, coordination, and resource allocation for new property launches
- Coordinate the activities of a broad mix of teammates from various organizations
- Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, launch checklists, operational standards, and screening criteria
- Work with stakeholders to ensure launches are appropriately funded and set up for success
- Document learnings, improve launch checklists and processes, and capture relevant institutional knowledge
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant Project Management experience, ideally in a Hospitality, Construction or Real Estate setting, and definitely in an industry where you were delivering physical projects
- You understand the key stakeholders (property owners, property managers, and on-site staff) in institutional real estate and/or hotels and have a track record forming deep connections with these external stakeholders
- You've spent your career planning and managing complex initiatives that creatively achieve business goals, and you understand that problems that seem similar on the surface must often be tackled with very different solutions once the details are understood
- You have worked in a remote setting (ideally using video and web-based project management tools to communicate), and are a clear communicator both in person and from afar
- You have a high level of independence and can drive thoughtful decisions even in fast-paced, ambiguous operating environments, informing and consulting the right stakeholders as necessary
- You are obsessive about clear documentation of learnings, and always approach a problem with the mindset of how you could scale the solution to 100x the size
- You communicate with clarity and empathy and can deliver impactful presentations to both senior business leaders and external partners as well as daily operations staff
- Travel is part of your DNA and you have a passion for the real estate, tech, and hospitality industry
- You have earned your PMP certification
- Managed the launches and/or flag transitions of hotels or large scale STR operations previously
- Managed significant construction or renovation projects in multifamily housing or hospitality
- Managed project executions at a fast-paced, ambiguous organizations where the playbook has not yet been written
- You are comfortable traveling to our property sites during launch
