Dice is a recruiter seeking a Digital Project Manager for a long-term contract engagement based in Hunt Valley, Maryland. In this part-time remote role, you will guide several active technology initiatives, balancing delivery priorities, stakeholder communication, and schedule oversight.
Responsibilities:
- Direct several simultaneous digital and technology projects, keeping scope, timing, and client expectations aligned across each workstream
- Coordinate software modernization efforts from planning through execution, ensuring upgrades move forward in an organized and measurable way
- Oversee cloud transition activities involving Microsoft Azure, partnering with technical teams and business stakeholders to support smooth delivery
- Build and maintain project schedules, milestone tracking, and progress reporting to provide clear visibility into status and next steps
- Lead recurring meetings with clients and internal contributors to communicate updates, decisions, risks, and action items
- Monitor project issues, interdependencies, and potential roadblocks, then drive mitigation plans to keep initiatives on course
- Work closely with cross-functional resources across development, infrastructure, and client teams to maintain momentum and accountability
- Ensure project documentation, governance standards, and change control practices are followed throughout the engagement
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience leading digital or IT projects in a client-facing or consulting-oriented environment
- Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent initiatives with competing timelines and priorities
- Hands-on experience with software upgrade or legacy system modernization projects
- Familiarity with cloud migration work, ideally within Microsoft Azure environments
- Strong project planning, organization, and timeline management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and provide clear status updates in a remote setting
- Ability to work effectively in a part-time capacity while remaining responsive and dependable across distributed teams
- Experience with digital projects and knowledge of Digital Asset Management (DAM) environments is a plus
