MEP Project Manager

Group PMX is a construction and retail development company that focuses on delivering innovative solutions and creating collaborative environments. They are seeking an MEP Project Manager to oversee Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing scopes for retail construction projects, ensuring compliance, budget management, and timely delivery across multiple sites.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee MEP scopes from preconstruction through closeout for retail buildouts, renovations, and rollouts
• Coordinate MEP design consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams across multiple locations
• Review and manage MEP drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings
• Ensure compliance with local and state codes, utility regulations, and client standards
• Manage MEP schedules and sequencing to support fast‑track retail construction timelines
• Track budgets, cost reports, change orders, and forecasts related to MEP work
• Conduct virtual coordination meetings and periodic site visits as needed
• Support procurement of long‑lead MEP materials and equipment
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover documentation
• Partner with project managers, superintendents, and clients to resolve MEP issues quickly
• Support closeout activities including as‑builts, O&M manuals, and warranties

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience managing MEP scopes in retail or commercial construction
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and life safety systems
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar construction software
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
• Experience with retail rollouts, tenant fit‑outs, or multi‑site programs preferred
