API Heat Transfer is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth in mission-critical industries such as Power Generation and Oil & Gas. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing market strategies, and building relationships with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and win new business in Power Generation, Data Centers, Defense, Rail & Locomotive, and Oil & Gas
- Develop and execute market strategies for both emerging and established sectors
- Build lasting relationships with engineering, procurement, and executive stakeholders
- Leverage insights to understand customer needs and competitive landscapes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Engineering, and Operations to deliver tailored solutions
- Own the pipeline—manage CRM, forecast accurately, and maintain a strong 12-month outlook
- Represent our brand at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in Business Development or Sales Management
- Proven success as a hunter—you know how to break into new markets and exceed targets
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical capabilities
- Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office
- Selling technical products into target industries
- Established networks in engineering and procurement
- Familiarity with heat transfer technologies (radiators, oil coolers, HVAC, etc.)
- Solid understanding of engine cooling and thermal management systems
