NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is a leading healthcare system, and they are seeking a Financial Analyst for Business Planning. The role involves developing forecasting processes, maintaining Profit and Loss statements, and conducting profitability analyses while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and assists in the Rolling and Long-Term Plan forecasting processes
- Provides support in the development and maintenance of Profit and Loss statements for physicians in the NYP Medical Group
- Performs analyses related to resource utilization and the evaluation of Business Plans and funding requests
- Responsible for developing and maintaining the organization’s rolling and long‑term forecasting models, while partnering closely with the Accounting team to ensure the Strata forecasting tools align with internal financials
- Provides essential support in profit and loss analyses for Medical Group physicians by gathering and synthesizing data from multiple sources to deliver timely, accurate estimates across NYP’s four medical groups
- Leads the creation of financial profitability analyses, collaborates with stakeholders across the NYP enterprise on Business Plans, CONs, and funds flow, and monitors Business Plan performance against actuals
- Analyzes staffing requests and expenses, develops standards for resource distribution, recommends updates to policies and procedures, and performs other job‑related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of budget procedures
- Knowledge of third party cost reports
- Degree or major in Finance
- Minimum of two to three years of previous experience
