The Athletic Academy is a fast-growing sports tech company specializing in custom recruiting websites and platforms for high school and club teams. They are seeking a qualified Sales & Account Executive to drive new customer acquisition, manage key accounts, and support expansion within their growing subscriber base.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying and pursuing new opportunities with high schools, club programs, and youth sports organizations
- Own full sales cycle from outreach → demo → close
- Meet or exceed monthly revenue targets
- Managing an assigned portfolio of accounts to ensure high satisfaction, reduce churn, and uncover upsell/expansion opportunities
- Creating awareness of new features, add-ons, and platform enhancements to drive adoption and revenue growth
- Negotiating contract terms, pricing, renewals, and additional services to maximize customer lifetime value and retention
- Collaborating with our energetic, creative team to refine outreach strategies, demo the platform effectively, and contribute to product feedback based on real customer insights
Requirements:
- 1–3 years in sales, business development, and/or sports-related roles
- Comfortable with cold outreach and outbound sales
- Proven ability to hit or exceed targets
- Ability to operate with a sense of urgency
- Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration and negotiation skills
- Fiercely competitive with a winning mindset
