Retail Engineer – POS (Front Systems) & Integration Specialist

Merican Inc. is seeking a Retail Engineer with a focus on POS systems and integration. The role involves hands-on work with Front Systems POS, designing integrations with enterprise systems, and providing support for store operations across a multi-brand environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work hands-on with Front Systems POS for configuration, customization, and support
• Design and support integrations between POS and enterprise systems (eCommerce, ERP, CRM)
• Participate in end-to-end project delivery and store rollouts
• Provide L2/L3 support and ensure system stability

Requirements:

• 5–8 years of experience in retail technology / POS engineering
• Hands-on experience with Front Systems POS or similar
• Strong understanding of store operations, checkout flows, and promotions
• Experience with APIs (REST/SOAP), JSON/XML, and middleware tools
• SQL and database knowledge
• Cloud familiarity (Azure/AWS preferred)
• Understanding of omnichannel retail flows
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Ability to work across business and technical teams
• Clear communication and stakeholder management
