Fusion Life Sciences Technologies LLC is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of automated manufacturing and process control systems in a regulated environment. This role involves working cross-functionally with various teams to improve system reliability, efficiency, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, program, troubleshoot, and support automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and related controls platforms
- Partner with manufacturing and process teams to identify automation improvements and reduce downtime
- Develop and execute automation change controls, system upgrades, and integration activities
- Support commissioning, qualification, and validation efforts for new and existing automated equipment
- Create and maintain technical documentation including functional specifications, test protocols, and SOP updates
- Investigate equipment issues and implement corrective actions in collaboration with site teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
- 10+ years of automation engineering experience in life sciences, biotech, medical device, or other regulated industries
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems
- Familiarity with validation documentation and change control processes
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Experience supporting GMP manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of DeltaV, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Rockwell platforms
- Prior exposure to CSV or equipment qualification activities
