Altria is a company focused on innovation and creating a smoke-free future. They are seeking a Senior Manager, Growth Marketing to lead multi-functional teams in developing and launching new product innovations while collaborating across various departments to ensure alignment and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Leading multi-functional pods in crafting and assessing new innovation ideas using an Agile Sprint process
- Developing end-to-end propositions (ideas, variants, claims, pricing, naming, branding) and collaborating with Insights and Design to validate and optimize consumer desirability
- Aligning with Consumer Insights, Finance, R&D, Design, Legal, Regulatory, and Go-to-Market teams to ensure alignment and accelerate execution
- Defining sizeable opportunity spaces and distilling actionable insights from landscape assessments to guide conceptualization
- Developing initial cases and aligning Fit for Use requirements and critical metrics to improve sell-in and distribution
- Delivering trademark and IP assessments and ensuring supportable claims and demos alongside R&D and Law
- Defining brand vision, equity strategy, and executional elements that create desirability and distinctiveness, validated across consumer touchpoints
- Confirming product–concept fit and breakthrough benefit delivery in partnership with UX Products Research
Requirements:
- 8+ years in Brand Management with 5+ years in innovation in CPG, including successful innovative and transformative launches
- Experience working on 5+ innovation projects, with preference for candidates with go‑to‑market experience
- Experience leading multi‑functional teams
- Fluency in Stage Gate and Agile work processes
- Experience translating insights into winning well-rounded propositions across regions and channels
- Experience with business model development and strong financial proficiency
- Proven success managing others and working cross‑functionally across R&D, Insights, Design, and Finance
- Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to senior leadership and cross‑functional partners
- Experience navigating ambiguity, adapting plans, and working in fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environments with rapid, hypothesis‑based iteration
