Granicus is a company focused on transforming the Govtech industry by connecting governments with their constituents. They are seeking a Content Marketing Manager to develop and edit marketing collateral, ensuring that their story is effectively communicated across various channels.
Responsibilities:
- Development, creation, and editing of marketing collateral, with a special focus on transforming complex, long-form copy into pithy short-form content
- Work closely with brand, segment, product marketing, and regional marketers to ideate, write, and produce campaigns across web, social, earned media, and other forms of collateral
- Continuously optimize our messaging and update collateral as needed
- Distilling complex ideas and long messaging documents into short, punchy copy that will attract readers and get them to engage with longer-form and lead-gen content
- Take initiative and ownership over projects, bringing stakeholders and subject matter experts together to develop engaging campaign strategies
- Look for new channels, formats, and mixes of content to deliver the most impactful marketing collateral
- Help stakeholders surface their best ideas and develop content strategies to match
- Look beyond single-use or standalone content for opportunities to produce evergreen materials and multichannel campaigns
- Produce 5-10 blogs’ worth of copy a week (actual mix and deliverables will vary based on need)
- Find innovative ways to make the most out of content through multiple channels and content types
- Demonstrate creativity in written copy, as well as campaign planning and market strategies
Requirements:
- Strong writing and editing skills required
- Demonstrated skills developing ad and promotional copy (short, snappy, effective)
- Working with marketing, sales, and leadership to create impactful short- and medium-form content (one-pagers, brag sheets, thought leadership blogs, short guides)
- A strong writer capable of distilling complex ideas and long messaging documents into short, punchy copy that will attract readers and get them to engage with longer-form and lead-gen content
- A team player who takes initiative and ownership over projects, bringing stakeholders and subject matter experts together to develop engaging campaign strategies
- An innovative thinker who looks for new channels, formats, and mixes of content to deliver the most impactful marketing collateral
- Someone with strong communication and project coordination skills who can help stakeholders surface their best ideas and develop content strategies to match
- Someone who looks beyond single-use or standalone content for opportunities to produce evergreen materials and multichannel campaigns
- Capable of producing 5-10 blogs' worth of copy a week (actual mix and deliverables will vary based on need)
- Proficient in finding innovative ways to make the most out of content through multiple channels and content types
- Someone with strong in-line and developmental editing skills
- You have at least 4-6 years of related experience developing content for marketing teams, particularly for ads, social, and brand messaging
- You have strong writing skills, with the ability to draft copy that is emotional, logical, informative, and engaging
- You communicate well with team members and customers
- You have excellent MS Office skills
- You are detail-oriented, especially when it comes to editing and refining copy
- You have exceptional problem-solving skills
- You have effective project management skills, including challenging the status quo and identifying needs to reassess existing approaches/processes
- You are adaptable and enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- You demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy or quality
- You understand the difference between using AI as a development tool versus having it do your writing for you
- Skills with alternate forms of storytelling (video, images, presentations, social)
