Red Cottage is a design-driven hospitality and vacation rental management company representing exceptional homes throughout the Northeast. They are seeking an ambitious Sales Development Representative to manage and qualify inbound homeowner opportunities, serving as the first point of contact for homeowners interested in joining their portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to inbound homeowner inquiries across phone, email, web forms, and other channels
- Conduct initial discovery calls to understand each homeowner’s property, goals, timing, and current management situation
- Clearly communicate Red Cottage’s services, approach, and value proposition
- Qualify prospective homes based on location, design, condition, revenue potential, homeowner expectations, and overall fit
- Schedule consultations and property evaluations for senior members of the sales team
- Maintain consistent and thoughtful follow-up with homeowners throughout the decision-making process
- Keep all lead information, activity, and next steps accurately updated in the CRM
- Coordinate with operations, onboarding, revenue management, and local market teams when evaluating opportunities
- Identify common homeowner questions, concerns, and objections and help improve the sales process over time
- Track lead response times, qualification rates, scheduled consultations, and conversion activity
- Help ensure every prospective homeowner receives a professional and distinctly Red Cottage experience
Requirements:
- A strong communicator who is warm, polished, and confident
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and quickly understand a homeowner's priorities
- Strong organization and follow-through
- Comfort managing multiple active conversations and competing priorities
- Sound judgment and the ability to determine when an opportunity is or is not a fit
- A consultative approach to sales rather than a transactional one
- The ability to accept coaching, learn quickly, and continuously improve
- Genuine interest in hospitality, real estate, travel, design, or entrepreneurship
- A high level of professionalism when speaking with homeowners and real estate partners
- Previous experience in sales, hospitality, customer service, real estate, leasing, recruiting, or account management is helpful but not required
