Sales Account Manager

Univar Solutions is a leading global distributor of chemicals and ingredients essential to the safety, health, and wellbeing of our daily lives. The Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving year-over-year volume and DGP growth for Bulk Chemical & Services products, focusing on developing new customers and expanding business with existing accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Actively manage a territory and interact with key internal and external business associates including their Sales Director, Product Management, other Verticals and the Shared Service (Customer Service/Ops) team to efficiently and effectively support and fulfill our customer needs
• Sells deep into accounts by developing multiple contacts at various levels of management and functional groups
• Sell the Univar Value Proposition
• Ensures prospects and customers are properly qualified, including safety and environmental performance, and financial worthiness
• Maintains adequate pipeline to ensure churn (new business vs. lost business) outperforms territory goals
• Uses discretion with company funds for entertainment and travel as outlined in the company travel and expense policy
• Ability to identify, aggregate and report on all BCD product opportunities
• Owns and completes annual volume and DGP goals
• Is focused on marketing volume of regional Chlor Alkali plants

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience
• Demonstrated success driving sales growth
• Ability to travel up to 50%
• Expert relationship builder both externally and internally
• Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration
• Strong communication skills; both verbal and written
• In-depth knowledge of chemical distribution business preferred
• Minimum 10 year sales and marketing experience, preferably in chlor-alkali and/or sulfur markets
