Sales Account Manager

Univar Solutions is a global distributor of chemicals and ingredients supporting essential products and services. The Sales Account Manager drives year-over-year volume and sales growth for Bulk Chemical & Services products by managing an assigned territory or customer portfolio, developing customer relationships, identifying opportunities, and achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities:

• Manage an assigned territory and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, including the Sales Director, Product Management, Vertical teams, and Shared Services (Customer Service/Operations) to support and fulfill customer needs effectively
• Develop and strengthen customer relationships by building multiple points of contact across various management levels and functional groups
• Ensure prospective and existing customers are appropriately qualified, including assessments of safety performance, environmental compliance, and financial stability
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline to ensure new business growth consistently exceeds customer attrition and territory objectives
• Identify, evaluate, and report on all Bulk Chemical Distribution (BCD) product opportunities within the territory
• Own and achieve annual sales and volume targets for the assigned market

Requirements:

• • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
• • Minimum of 7 years of sales or marketing experience, preferably within commodity chemicals
• • Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving business objectives
• • Ability to travel up to 50%
• • Exceptional relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
• • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills
• This is a home-based position for candidates located in the Charlotte, NC or Morrisville, PA area, with regular travel expected
• • Strong knowledge of the chemical distribution industry preferred
