Senior Program Analyst

Dextera Corporation is seeking a Senior Program Analyst to support the CBP Office of Finance. The role focuses on financial data analysis, reporting, budget formulation and execution, compliance, and the development of interactive financial tools and trackers. The analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to provide accurate financial insights and process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and update interactive tools and trackers for financial reporting and data analysis using advanced Microsoft Excel features (pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas, and data visualization tools)
• Ensure all tools are user-friendly, accurate, and updated according to financial reporting requirements
• Perform data analysis and summarization to support budget formulation and execution processes
• Provide technical assistance and analysis for budget formulation and financial transaction processing
• Interpret and apply financial laws, regulations, and accounting principles to ensure compliance
• Develop and maintain financial reports and data summaries for management and stakeholders
• Communicate financial analysis and findings clearly in both written and verbal formats
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of finance and revenue operations

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Bachelor's degree (four-year degree) with a major in a related field
• A minimum of five years of work experience performing similar business analysis work
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically for advanced data analysis, automation, and visualization
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Word, Outlook, Access and use of multiple monitors
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in financial contexts
• Experience in financial analysis, transaction processing, and budget execution
• Experience in developing and maintaining financial reports and data summaries
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills for financial data analysis
• Ability to design and automate financial tools and trackers in Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Professional demeanor and adherence to CBP's standards of conduct
• Must be able to successfully complete the required U.S. Government background investigation and security clearance process
• The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the position as a condition of employment and continued employment
• Proficiency with computers and ability to navigate/enter information into established databases and Microsoft Office products
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person as appropriate for the needs of the audience
• Ability to address all customer inquiries with a pleasant and patient demeanor
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Ability to compute rates, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret information
• Ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem
• Ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions dealing with several abstract and concrete variables
• Employee will have consistent and direct visual contact with multiple computer monitors
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the designated CBP office and be able to report onsite when required
• Prior experience with SAP, ServiceNow, and Concur software systems is desired, but not required
