The Opportunity

You will direct both preconstruction estimating and active project management for large-scale multifamily flooring installations across the Southeast. This hybrid position grants you end-to-end ownership to build competitive bids and guide them through purchasing, field execution, and completion. You will make an immediate impact within a high-growth environment that values initiative, accountability, and team collaboration.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Perform comprehensive material takeoffs and compile competitive labor and material estimates for multifamily projects.
• Review architectural plans, finish schedules, and bid specifications to identify scope discrepancies and prevent field gaps.
• Negotiate vendor and subcontractor pricing while securing timely product quotes, material availability, and lead times.
• Build baseline project budgets directly from awarded estimates and facilitate clear operational turnover to field teams.
• Manage product submittals, material procurement, delivery logistics, and finish approvals across designated active jobs.
• Coordinate with general contractors, field installers, and warehouse personnel to resolve RFIs and ensure schedule adherence.
• Monitor project cost controls, job-cost accounting, change order management, and customer progress billing cycles.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Proven background in commercial flooring, multifamily construction, or commercial specialty trade estimating.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and cross-reference architectural plans, finish schedules, and construction specifications.
• Demonstrated experience preparing detailed material takeoffs, building comprehensive estimates, and managing project cost budgets.
• Practical knowledge of commercial flooring finish work, installation sequencing, and contract administration.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills necessary for managing deadlines across multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Prior experience managing commercial flooring projects from contract award through closeout.
• Established record working directly with regional multifamily general contractors and developers.
• Proficiency in specialized construction estimating software, takeoff tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
