Territory management, call planning and time-management optimization
Appropriately allocate selling time across all Royal Canin products and distribute your time to spend 60% of your time with your sales representatives, 20% with distributors, 20% on administration/meetings
Monitor representatives’ call cycles, sales strategy and clinic-call effectiveness
Manage relationship with the Ontario distributor, business planning, supply and demand
Provide quarterly, semi-annual and annual performance assessments to your sales team with specific action plans incorporating and updating Personal Development Plans (PDPs)
Call on veterinary clinics and/or veterinary distributors with sales representatives, providing real-time coaching and performance feedback
Responsible for promoting programs that support veterinary recommendation (prescription
conversion
adherence)
Requirements
University degree or equivalent
5–10 years’ experience in sales or related fields (experience in sales representation/key account management)
People leadership experience is strongly preferred
Sales management experience; demonstrated ability to manage a sales team and a distributor
Experience in veterinary, pet food industry or consumer products (veterinary industry experience preferred)
Key account selling skills and track record of strong results (proficient in persuasive selling)
Experience using various CRM tools to develop and monitor call frequency and other qualitative metrics
P&L management experience
Change-management mindset
Ability and willingness to travel, including approximately 30% field work and 10% regional travel
Bilingual (French and English) is required
Proficient in Microsoft Office
