Counter Sales Representative

Role Overview

• Greets customers on the sales floor.
• Practices good interpersonal relations, using tact, courtesy, and a positive attitude toward customers and co-workers.
• Handles difficulties with customers and coworkers with diplomacy.
• Resolves customer order problems and complaints promptly.
• Displays merchandise, suggests selections that meet customers' needs.
• Recommends additional products related to customer needs.
• Provides oral and written quotations or estimates of prices, terms, and delivery.
• Prepares cash or charge sales tickets with required identification.
• Follows up with any specific record-keeping requirements.
• Receives payment or obtains credit authorization.
• Loads customer materials for “will call” orders.
• Prepares correspondence and reports necessary for business transactions.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent diploma
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams and Outlook
• Physical Requirements and Work Environment: Occasional lifting and pulling objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Forklift certification, will train
