Meet and welcome guests, and orient them to the Center and its offerings, amenities, tours, classes, programs and services
Serve as a knowledgeable operations and programs resource and provide troops high quality and friendly customer service in a variety of areas, including in providing relevant, informative travel advice and complaint resolution
Assist with operational procedures, including opening and/or closing, key control, Emergency Preparedness Plan compliance, and ensuring safety and security protocol adherence
Monitor and maintain readiness and availability of the Center, and its activity and lounge areas
Help to plan and execute programs, activities and events, on and off U.S. military installations, ensuring sufficient volunteer coverage and supplies
Assist with communicating Center operations and programs to create awareness by creating flyers, brochures and posters, etc., and by communicating with local media representatives
Answer and screen incoming telephone calls. Review and respond to email. Produce and maintain reports, files and databases
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
0-2 years work experience in an administrative, event management, marketing support, retail, customer service, recreation facility or related role
Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills
Must be punctual, organized, and self-motivated, with the ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing organizational needs
Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communications
General knowledge of military community preferred
Proven ability to exercise sound judgment related to controversial and/or culturally sensitive subjects
Ability to handle confidential information with tact and poise
