Electric Research and Manufacturing Cooperative, Inc. The Business Development Manager is responsible for managing and growing relationships with key strategic customers, ensuring customer satisfaction, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that drive mutual growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned strategic accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities within strategic accounts to maximize revenue and profitability
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Operations to deliver customer-centric solutions
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their business challenges and aligning ERMCO’s offerings accordingly
- Prepare and present regular business reviews, forecasts, and account plans to both customers and internal leadership
- Negotiate contracts and pricing in alignment with company guidelines and customer expectations
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic account management plans
- Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and escalations to maintain positive relationships
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in strategic account management, sales, or business development
- Proven success managing complex customer relationships and driving revenue growth
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze data and develop actionable account strategies
- Experience in industrial manufacturing, electrical equipment, or related industries
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications in sales or account management
- Proficiency with CRM and sales analytics tools
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a team-oriented environment
