About this role
Role Overview
Develop and execute market strategies and sales growth plans for assigned and/or new accounts.
Proactively build and maintain relationships with various levels of customer organizations.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of, and actively promote, Viking Electric’s services, solutions, and product offerings.
Negotiate with customers and vendors to obtain orders, meet schedules, enhance profitability.
Secure SPA commitments from vendor partners and implement price rules.
Utilize available sales resources to quote material, enter sales orders, and manage returns.
Collaborate with product specialists to ensure the customer is receiving information and services needed in a timely fashion.
Requirements
High School Diploma required; post-secondary education preferred, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of business-to-business sales preferably in the electrical industry or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of Electric products and Viking Electric services and solutions.
Good understanding of the market and competitors and basic financial skills.
Must have effective communication and negotiating skills.
Strong selling, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn new technology.
