Role Overview
- Lead agency relationships

- Support underwriting strategies within an assigned territory

- Underwrite mid-market new business
- Conduct thorough evaluation of prospective agents
- Develop annual agency/company marketing plans
- Analyze territory profitability and premium growth
Requirements
- Five or more years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Insurance designations preferred
- Minimum of five years property/casualty commercial underwriting required
- Minimum of three years’ marketing experience with a Property and Casualty carrier preferred
- Agency or broker experience with heavy concentration in underwriting exposure/risk and marketing may substitute for carrier experience
- Must have technical underwriting knowledge of commercial lines of business
- Effective oral and written communication skills
