Monitor and validate technicians' work on transformers, circuit breakers and MV switchgear.
Act as a technical point of reference for field teams (maintenance and installation).
Maintain the database of MV interventions and produce regular status reports (outages, alerts, trends).
Review, recommend and draft work procedures and TSIs (Technical Safety Instructions) related to MV.
Verify regulatory compliance and safety (lock-out/tag-out, electrical standards).
Analyze incidents and failures to identify root causes and propose corrective actions.
Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at optimizing processes and reducing downtime.
Present complex technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Lead or contribute to training sessions or workshops for teams and management.
Collaborate with project and engineering departments to incorporate field feedback into system updates.
Monitor regulatory and technological developments in MV.
Requirements
Post-secondary degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline OR relevant experience in MV/HV operations and maintenance.
Minimum 3 years' experience in maintenance/operation of MV equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear).
Practical experience with lockout/tagout procedures and electrical safety standards.
Excellent ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely (oral and written). Bilingualism in English and French is a strong asset.
Ability to present to varied audiences (technicians, management).
Analytical mindset, rigor and autonomy for solving technical problems.
Proactive, curious and detail-oriented.
Customer-service orientation, team spirit and cross-functional collaboration.
Valid driver's license and availability for occasional travel within Canada and to Germany (up to 6 weeks/year).
Proficiency in SAP (asset) and MS Office (especially Excel for tracking interventions and reports).
