Act as a strategic advisor to People & Places COEs, helping them identify opportunities to improve their existing use of Workday to better support business objectives
Collaborate with People & Places teams and leaders to evaluate current business processes and recommend Workday-driven enhancements for scalability, automation, and user experience
Serve as a key escalation point for system issues and bugs; diagnose root causes and propose efficient, system-aligned solutions
Maintain deep understanding of Workday HCM modules (Core HCM, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Reporting, etc.) and how they interact
Work closely with People & Places COEs, HRIS teams, IT, and external consultants to ensure solutions are aligned across functional and technical teams
Provide input on change management strategies, including training, communications, and stakeholder engagement when rolling out Workday fixes and enhancements
Contribute to the development of the Workday roadmap by identifying and prioritizing strategic enhancements, in partnership with COEs and People Insights & Solutions Design partners on new functionality
Lead and drive Workday R1 & R2 Release management for the People Data and Systems team and work closely with IT teams to evaluate overall impact of new features, enhancements and retired/deprecated features
Perform light configuration, testing, or data validation as needed, especially during major projects, upgrades, troubleshooting critical issues, or in urgent business situations that require additional assistance and support
Requirements
5+ years of experience with Workday in a functional or techno-functional capacity
Proven experience acting as a liaison between HR functional teams and technical system support
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, consultative approach
Solid understanding of HR processes and how they are operationalized within Workday
Ability to translate business needs into system requirements and scalable solutions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage and influence a diverse group of stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
