Under the direction of the General Services Operations Manager (GSOM) and the Firearm Eligibility Bureau Chief, manages the supervision, administration, and resolution of operational and management problems as they relate to the activities of the Firearm Eligibility System (FES) within the Firearm Purchase Program (FPP)
Provides management consultant services to the Division, Department, and other agencies to improve operations and ensure efficient and effective accomplishments of agency objectives
Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers regarding the FES to ensure its continuity of operations and usage is in alignment with state and federal laws
Manages employees who are responsible for conducting state and national criminal history record checks
Assists the GSOM and the Bureau Chief in areas such as auditing daily activity reports, preparing employee performance evaluations, and monitoring individual employee progress.
Requirements
At least one year of experience in management or in a leadership capacity
Knowledge of the criminal justice system
Knowledge of methods of data collection
Ability to compile and analyze data, related to the development of training programs
Ability to coordinate research
Ability to utilize problem solving techniques
Ability to understand and apply rules, regulations, procedures related to the development of training programs
Ability to plan, organize, and complete work assignments.
