Follow established procedures to undertake basic cost and commercial tasks (e.g., identify variances between planned and incurred costs) and promptly notify senior colleagues of discrepancies.
Support construction cost management assignments by executing practical tasks and coordinating with senior specialists.
Collect, validate and prepare supporting documentation (schedules, feasibility studies, cost reports) to provide senior management with high-quality information.
Apply practical methods and technical knowledge to resolve routine cost/commercial issues in a timely manner.
Comply with risk and compliance requirements, taking standard corrective actions or reporting unsafe/inappropriate situations.
Monitor and review cost and commercial processes, share knowledge and feedback, and provide advice on straightforward stakeholder queries.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
Practical knowledge of construction processes and cost/commercial management, with developing commercial and organisational awareness.
Strong communication and stakeholder liaison skills with peers and immediate seniors.
Logical approach with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage own time against broad schedules.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis.
Proficiency in common cost and commercial management software and systems (e.g., CostX).
