Manage end-to-end deployment of EV charging sites from feasibility through closeout.
Oversee design development (electrical, civil, structural) for design-build projects, including review of single-line diagrams, site plans, load calculations, and construction documents.
Coordinate design revisions driven by utility, permitting, or field constraints.
Maintain project schedules, critical path, and milestone tracking across multiple active sites.
Coordinate with Utilities, Permitting, and other City Agencies & Authorities.
Lead coordination with electric utilities for service applications, load letters, make-ready scope, interconnection approvals, and inspections.
Manage utility timelines and track dependencies impacting construction start.
Procure, manage, and oversee general contractors, electrical contractors, and specialty installers.
Review bids, scope alignment, exclusions, and unit pricing.
Manage change orders, field directives, and cost impacts.
Enforce contractor reporting, safety compliance, and quality standards.
Develop and manage project budgets from bid through final cost.
Track committed costs, forecast at completion, and any variances.
Support value engineering to reduce civil, electrical, and utility costs.
Review contractor pay applications and closeout documentation.
Coordinate public ROW permits, pole attachment approvals, easements, and municipal permits.
Resolve conflicts related to pole ownership, access, ADA, and siting constraints.
Prepare weekly project status reports, including schedule, budget, risks, and next actions.
Maintain deployment trackers and documentation required for grants, utilities, and internal reporting.
Serve as the primary point of contact for deployment execution with internal stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering, or a related subject, or equivalent experience.
4+ years of project management or field construction management experience, work in the built environment, or the equivalent in experience.
Direct experience with utility power provider companies in the Northeast.
Ability to travel required. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Understanding of general construction processes, including contracts, budgets, change orders, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and material procurement.
Strong understanding of AC and DC power, transformers, circuit protection, single-line electrical and mechanical diagrams, and construction drawings.
Prior experience with vendor selection and management.
Knowledge of EV charging technology, regulatory requirements, and permitting processes is a plus.
Direct field experience as an electrician and/or EVITP certification is a plus.
Experience with site selection and evaluation for renewable energy projects is also a plus.
Experience working with government agencies, lighting authorities, and utilities is a plus.
