Research and develop sales opportunities and plans, understanding customer requirements, identifying market trends.
Manage existing and new online assortment across Walmart and Sam’s Club.
Grow the in-store distribution across Walmart and Sam’s with branded and private label.
Promote, sell, and secure orders by communicating with appropriate decision makers on a regular basis through emails, phone calls, in person-visits, and presentations, while building rapport and learning their needs.
Actively develop the account and maintain business relationships with current and prospective partners within the channel to generate new business.
Implement new sales plans, as well as develop promotions and campaigns.
Work with the marketing team in creation of relevant marketing material and promotions for your customers.
Maintain monthly activity reports detailing new business meetings, progress and next steps as well as other relevant reports and analysis to management.
Manage product offering, recommend pricing levels and establishing sales strategy according to company policies and objectives.
Provide the company with new product ideas, market trends, territory market data, sales growth strategies, and competitive intelligence.
Travel to trade shows and various events for customers representing the company and brand.
Conduct equipment demonstrations at meetings, sales calls, tradeshows etc.
Set, monitor, and deliver internal and external sales targets.
Seek and develop new business opportunities.
Develop and deliver impactful business presentations to capture opportunities.
Understand the accounts’ product line review process and company goals.
Provide consultation to the accounts in order to drive awareness of new technologies, market trends and opportunities to grow sales.
Work with internal marketing team members to create and deliver successful promotions and advertising solutions.
Requirements
Minimum 5+ years’ sales or marketing experience or similar role.
Strong preference, categories with outdoor power equipment, power tools, or other hardline categories and/or seasonal categories.
The Candidate will have 3+ years calling on customers including Walmart USA.
Experience with Walmart Canada and Sam’s Club are preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
Experience with using programs such as Microsoft Office, knowledge of Netsuite CRM system is preferred.
High levels of commercial awareness, with strong prospecting skills and the ability to develop business in new and existing accounts.
Proven track record in optimizing sales in both efficiency and volume.
Strong analytic skills to identify trends and gaps in activities and results to drive changes in team behaviors and build growth plans.
Effective communication, presentation and influencing skills to shape relationships and deliver results and beat KPIs.
High levels of organization and confidence with managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Must have an active driver’s license.
Ability up to travel 25% and internationally as needed.
