Role Overview
Lead the end-to-end development and submission of grant applications, with a primary focus on NIH R01 grants
Independently shape grant content, including specific aims, study design, methodology, and work plans
Work directly with internal scientists and US-based academic and clinical partners to define and align the scientific scope
Assess funding opportunities and drive early-stage grant development (concept definition, feasibility, timelines)
Manage grant timelines, inputs, and submission processes with a high level of autonomy
Ensure full compliance with call requirements, formats, and review criteria
Coordinate responses to reviewer comments and resubmissions where applicable
Maintain clear, structured project communication across stakeholders
Requirements
PhD in medical physics, biomedical imaging, or a closely related field
Hands-on research experience with hyperpolarized MRI (HP MRI) is mandatory
Strong understanding of medical imaging and translational applications
Proven experience contributing to or leading NIH R01 grant applications
In-depth knowledge of the US research funding system, particularly NIH processes
Proven ability to work independently while collaborating closely with external partners, including advising and supporting customers in strengthening research proposals and grant submissions
Strong project management and excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
