About this role
Role Overview
Deliver pre
and post-sales support to our customers in Israel & EMEA for our CST portfolio (hands-on on product).
Deliver product and technology presentations at targeted local roadshows/technical seminars/webinars.
Quickly develop deep knowledge of customers' technical challenges that inhibit their ability to achieve stated product / service delivery objectives.
Demonstrating strength and experience in solution and value selling and the ability to build and demonstrate solid business cases that supports the value proposition.
Developing customer advocates who sell and build consensus and the ability to influence key decision makers.
Effectively work with internal/external teams to anticipate and qualify customer needs.
Work with VIAVI Support and overseas Engineering teams to help solve customer issues.
Help customers write CST API-based scripts and programs for automating their testing.
Identify customer evolving requirements and communicate these requirements/feature requests to Product Marketing.
Transfer basics of product and technologies knowledge to Customers & Channel Partners during specific and regular training sessions.
Actively participate in the Global Solutions Engineer virtual meetings: feedback on deals, technical inputs, local market needs, challenges, successes, recovery plans, etc.
Regular travel to customer locations in Israel and rest of EMEA region. Occasional travel overseas is required as well.
Requirements
University degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years’ experience in Field Application Engineer (or equivalent) in industry (T&M, Systems, Semiconductor, etc.) or working on compute & storage network technologies and/or protocols.
Detailed understanding of PC architecture and various commonly used buses.
Good Understanding of signal integrity and experience in using lab equipment such as Protocol Analyzers/ Exercisers, Oscilloscopes, Traffic Generators, Bit Error Rate Tester (BERT), etc.
Good knowledge in board and system design considerations, e.g., power supply design.
Experience in silicon design/bring up is highly preferred.
Experience in working with Linux OS.
Hardware design experience related to high-speed subsystem design, High-speed IO protocols, on-chip interconnect would be much appreciated.
