About this role
Role Overview
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the data center industry
Seeking, developing and maintaining relationships with key decision makers
Creating and implementing business development strategies
Achieving sales targets
Coordinating and collaborating with internal technical and product teams to ensure client needs are met
Participating in industry events and conferences
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering, Business or a related field
Business Development and Sales skills
Knowledge of Energy Solutions (generators, distributed power, UPSs, BESS, microgrids)
Minimum of 5 years experience selling directly into the Data Center industry specifically with Hyperscalers, Colocators, Integrators, Developers, etc.
Experience with Engineering/Procurement/Construction (EPC) firms
Ability to develop, implement and execute business strategies
Relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
Analyze opportunities and customer needs
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Conduct Sales Presentations and Product Training
Project management and coordination skills
Participation in data center industry organizations
Provide reconnaissance of competitors’ influence and develop a plan to counter their influence
Ability to travel up to 50%
Experience with SAP, Sales Force or similar CRM systems and data analysis is preferred
