About this role
Role Overview
Proactively approach potential new customers.
Develop existing customers and leverage cross-selling opportunities.
Independently conduct customer meetings, presentations and negotiations.
Monitor the market, competitors and relevant trends and derive sales initiatives.
Collaborate with product and pricing teams on rate requests and tenders.
Manage RFQs from A to Z – including preparation and follow-up.
Ensure clear communication between Sales, Product & Operations.
Requirements
Several years of experience in field sales or business development – ideally in ocean and air freight logistics.
Understand what mid-sized customers need – and how to delight and retain them long-term.
Pricing, tender management and structured sales processes are part of your skill set.
Build, maintain and further develop stable customer relationships – with a strategic perspective and operational drive.
Pipeline and funnel management, data-driven and with clear target orientation.
Ideally familiar with Southwestern Germany.
Confident communication in German, business-fluent English – Spanish is a bonus.
MS Office is standard; familiarity with TMS systems is a plus.
Team player with a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication and a hands-on mentality.
