Building and owning Canva’s Community programs in the Philippines, from strategy through to execution
Developing and managing an always-on content calendar for our communities across facebook & exploring new channel options like viber.
Brainstorming and producing engaging content that educates, inspires, and entertains — including video tutorials, webinars, live events, design challenges, product launches, case studies, and social-first content
Hosting and facilitating virtual and live community events, workshops, and creator activations
Building strong relationships and acting as a champion for local educators, creators, designers, and partners
Managing and growing local creator social media channels, ensuring consistent tone of voice and brand alignment
Initiating campaigns to acquire new creators, deepen loyalty, and keep the community active and engaged
Partnering with Canva’s creative, content, and i18n teams to localise campaigns and briefs, and tracking creator output against targets
Enabling local educators, designers, and NFPs to publish templates and elements for the wider Canva community
Onboarding new creators and supporting them with education, resources, and ongoing engagement
Managing a local budget for acquisition, activation, and engagement initiatives
Creating monthly insights reports and tracking KPIs to measure community growth, engagement, and content performance
Requirements
You love Canva, use our product, and are passionate about empowering others to design.
You’re based in the Philippines and fluent in English and Tagalog (written and spoken)
You’re a natural connector and community-builder, with experience engaging audiences both online and offline
You’ve grown or managed online communities — ideally large Facebook groups — through content, events, partnerships, or outreach
You have a strong ability to “read the room,” bringing people together around new ideas and shared goals
You thrive in ambiguity, bring positive energy, and have a strong bias for action
You’re a thoughtful problem-solver who leads with empathy and urgency, making people feel heard and supported
You’re confident running virtual workshops and creating or publishing video content across social platforms
You’re comfortable working with data and metrics, using insights to inform creative and strategic decisions
You may have a background as a graphic designer or educator, or a deep curiosity about applying your creative or teaching experience in a community role
You already have — or are excited to build — a network of local creators and/or educators
