About this role
Role Overview
Provide strategic leadership and oversight across finance, HR/people, risk, legal and governance
Strategic Partner to the CEO, leadership team and Board
Champion best‑in‑class financial governance, controls, compliance and accountability, aligned with Irish charitable and public sector requirements
Lead business planning, financial strategy, budgeting and forecasting to support organisational growth and impact
Oversee and strengthen HR and people systems, supporting performance, wellbeing, leadership development and organisational culture
Drive continuous improvement of systems, processes and controls to enable scale, transparency and resilience
Support and empower teams across the organisation, fostering collaboration, clarity and trust
Act as a key advisor to the Board and executive team on risk, sustainability and long‑term organisational health.
Requirements
Qualified Accountant with membership of a recognised accountancy body
At least 10 years of financial management experience, ideally at senior level
Strong track record in financial leadership, ideally within the Irish charitable, not‑for‑profit or public sector
Deep expertise in financial governance, controls, compliance and risk management
Experience contributing to or overseeing HR/people functions, organisational development or culture change
Strategic and commercially minded with strong analytical skills, experienced in the provision of quality management information and business planning
Strong knowledge of best in class financial systems, processes, tools
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with a proven operational and strategic mindset, with evidence of both revenue and profitable growth
Experience in working with external auditors, compliance and regulatory oversight and risk management
Commitment to results; 'can-do’ mindset and outstanding problem-solving ability
Exceptional negotiation skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships
Committed to excellence and have strong attention to detail
A team player and self-motivated problem solver
Able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
Demonstrate the highest levels of integrity
