About this role
Role Overview
Monitors progress and performance of multiple teams and safety programs, taking corrective action as necessary
Plans and assigns work for team members
Identifies, teaches, and develops future leaders and wider safety members
Coach and manage HSE professionals to build capability, strengthen talent pipelines, and address performance issues
Align corporate safety strategy with field execution across construction and operational sites
Assess training needs and develop targeted programs for teams and project sites
Facilitate communication between corporate EHS leadership, field teams, and frontline stakeholders to ensure consistent program implementation
Promote accountability across business and field leadership
Serve as a liaison with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into all phases of the data center lifecycle
Contribute to cross-company initiatives related to safety, including resiliency, business continuity, ESG, and workforce engagement
Provide proactive, strategic safety insights to senior leadership on emerging risks and incident trends
Participate in pre-construction meetings and develop site-specific safety plans
Maintain a high level of expertise in company HSE standards, programs, and goals
Champion HSE standards across projects to foster a safe and productive environment
Partner with EHS training teams as a subject matter expert to ensure technical and regulatory competency
Support additional EHS initiatives as assigned
Manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality support to internal stakeholders
Serve as a strategic contributor to the Health & Safety Program team, driving innovation and direction
Collaborate with global HSE and governance teams to develop proactive risk-reduction strategies
Requirements
4-year related degree and 8 years related experience plus ASP certification or 11 years relevant experience and SMS
Ability to spend 80% of working time on active construction sites
