About this role
Role Overview
Independently identify leads and support their development into concrete sales opportunities
Responsible for managing the sales pipeline
Participate in international trade shows as a product specialist and build and maintain customer relationships
Serve as the central interface between sites, customers, agents and internal departments (Engineering, Marketing, Order Management, Application Engineering, Planning, Trial Center) to ensure a smooth sales process
Support projects such as implementing structured guided-sales methods, improving proposal quality, and developing presentation materials in collaboration with Marketing
Centrally manage selected global key accounts in Slicing & Packaging, build and maintain relationships at decision-maker level, and develop a deep understanding of their business models
Coordinate internally and externally to ensure seamless communication and service delivery, and proactively identify opportunities to deepen the partnership between GEA and these key accounts
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification in a relevant technical or commercial field
At least 3 years of proven professional experience in a sales role within plant and machinery engineering
Strong commercial understanding, high self-motivation, and excellent communication skills
Very structured, detail-oriented working style with a strong commitment to accuracy in all sales-related activities
Fluent written and spoken German and English; French or Spanish skills are a plus
Willingness to travel: up to 50% international travel
