About this role
Role Overview
Our online marketing team currently consists of a compact trio that is reaching its capacity limits due to a growing number of new strategic topics.
We are not looking for another specialist for a single channel, but for a true online marketing all-rounder who will independently own the items on today’s agenda and those that will follow: SEO, AI-supported visibility (GEO), Amazon, newsletters and marketing automation, recommendations and—especially—our loyalty program “World of REMEMBER” including the next expansion phases: reviews and user-generated content (UGC).
You will create the freedom this area needs by independently driving the topics above forward with your own quality standards.
You will be responsible for the strategic and operational development of SEO on our Shopware platform – on-page, technical SEO, content and link building.
You will systematically and measurably optimize category pages, product detail pages, meta-data, H1/H2 structure and internal linking.
You will develop an SEO content roadmap aligned with seasonal themes and collections and manage its implementation (internally and with external partners).
You will work closely with our Head of Online Marketing, Frontend/Onsite, Design and Product Management.
You will expand our monitoring of AI visibility (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini/AI overviews) and translate insights into concrete content and structural measures.
You will drive structured data (Schema.org), entity building (Wikidata) and AI-readable content formats.
You will actively use AI tools (particularly Claude, which we use company-wide) to accelerate your own productivity, research and content work.
You will be responsible for our presence on Amazon: listing optimization, A+ content, reviews, Amazon SEO, analysis and deriving measures.
You will manage external partners where necessary and make Amazon a sustainable, profitable channel in the B2C mix.
You will be responsible for our newsletter strategically and operationally – from editorial planning and segmentation to personalization and performance analysis.
You will develop automated email flows and build new lifecycle journeys that tightly integrate newsletter and marketing automation with loyalty, shop and recommendations.
You will work in a data-driven way with A/B tests and AI-supported tools for text generation, subject-line optimization and scaling multilingual campaigns across our international markets.
You will be responsible for our loyalty program “World of REMEMBER” strategically and operationally – from evolving the mechanics to member communication and performance measurement.
You will actively drive the next expansion steps: introducing product reviews and user-generated content (UGC) as a fixed element of the customer journey.
You will link loyalty, reviews and UGC with shop, newsletter and social channels to create a consistent retention experience and leverage collected content across channels.
You will measure success using relevant KPIs (member growth, activation rate, repeat purchase rate, review volume, conversion uplift through UGC) and derive optimizations from them.
You will maintain and develop our recommendation setup: placements, campaigns, A/B tests and performance tracking.
You will connect recommendations with our other channels (shop, newsletter, loyalty) to make the customer journey consistent and effective.
You will work closely with our Head of Online Marketing and understand the connection between SEO, content, loyalty and performance marketing.
You will work closely with our data analysis team (reporting, dashboards, KPIs) and derive actions from the data.
You will critically evaluate new tools, channels and topics and implement them when sensible.
Requirements
Several years of SEO experience – ideally 3+ years in an e-commerce environment, with demonstrable successes in organic visibility, rankings and SEO-driven traffic growth
Genuine SEO depth – you know technical SEO, content SEO and off-page not just as buzzwords, and are proficient with tools such as Sistrix, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4 and Ahrefs/Semrush
Strong affinity for AI – you actively use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) in your daily work, enjoy building prompts and workflows, and understand the strategic leverage of AI in marketing (GEO, automation, content scaling)
All-rounder mindset – you are willing to get stuck into Amazon, loyalty systems, recommendation engines or new topics even if you are not yet an expert in all areas
Analytical & results-oriented – you work data-driven, think in KPIs and make decisions based on numbers rather than gut feeling
Shop system experience – ideally Shopware (5/6) or equivalent; understanding of the interface between marketing, frontend and shop logic
Basic understanding of performance marketing – you don’t need to build Google Ads yourself, but you have a solid understanding of paid channels and how they interact with SEO, content and loyalty
Working style – independent, structured, pragmatic, with a high quality standard and a desire to truly own topics
Languages – German business fluent, English fluent in spoken and written.
