Review vocational and medical information to assess and develop vocational management plan regarding claim handling for RTW planning or forensic review
Coordinate and collaborate with claimants, medical providers, employers, and internal partners to assist with the facilitation of a safe and effective return to work planning
Set expectations for claimant involvement throughout vocational handling to enhance partnership and interest for return-to-work plan development, including transferable skills identification, job seeking skills, resume development, and interview preparation
Provide clearly written reports for occupational analysis (OA) reviews and transferable skill assessment (TSA) reports to assist claim analysts with completing eligibility assessments and claim management planning.
Support onboarding and training needs for new hires (Vocational, Accommodations, Clinical, and Claims) as well as ongoing partnership to experienced claim partners for continued department growth and development.
Participation in weekly Round Table sessions to provide vocational guidance for claim management planning
Proven ability to meet or exceed performance expectations while addressing customer service needs with attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
May assist other business lines (Supplemental Health, Life, and Critical Illness) by consulting on vocational and return-to-work capabilities, as well as supporting projects and taking on additional responsibilities as determined by business needs
Requirements
Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or closely related field
CRC Certification
2-4 years of disability management with prior industry-related experience in STD/LTD with case management and forensic (OA/TSA) reviews
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Proficiency with digital tools and comfort navigating multiple platforms.
