Proactively identify, cultivate, and pursue new business opportunities through targeted lead generation, outbound prospecting, and follow-up activities.
Qualify inbound and outbound leads and route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales channel, Regional Sales Manager, independent representative, or partner contact.
Serve as an active member of the territory sales team by supporting the Regional Sales Manager with account development, opportunity management, appointment setting, and territory execution.
Contribute to strategic territory planning by providing market insight, customer feedback, pipeline updates, and recommendations to support sales growth.
Build, maintain, and strengthen professional relationships with existing customers, prospective customers, channel partners, independent representatives, end users, and value-added resellers.
Provide responsive sales support to independent representatives, end users, and value-added resellers, including assistance with product information, configuration questions, availability, and quote coordination.
Participate in monthly sales meetings by contributing accurate information related to pipeline activity, forecasted bookings, revenue expectations, and territory opportunities.
Act as a first point of contact for sales inquiries and product configuration questions, ensuring requests are addressed professionally, accurately, and in a timely manner.
Follow up on and coordinate requests for quotes, ensuring information is complete, deadlines are met, and internal stakeholders are aligned.
Use and maintain multiple software applications, including CRM and sales support tools, to track customer interactions, opportunities, quote activity, and territory progress.
Track, reconcile, and coordinate demo equipment to ensure accurate records, timely returns, and effective support for sales activities.
Contribute expertise as a member of the inside sales team by identifying process improvements, sharing best practices, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Escalate customer issues to the appropriate Customer Service counterpart or internal stakeholder while maintaining ownership of communication and follow-up as needed.
Schedule appointments and coordinate territory activities for the Regional Sales Manager to support prospecting, account engagement, and opportunity advancement.
Partner with the Regional Sales Manager to keep CRM opportunities accurate, current, and aligned with the sales process.
Requirements
Minimum of five years of successful sales, inside sales, business development, or lead generation experience, with a proven ability to identify, develop, and advance new opportunities.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience will be considered.
Strong hunter prospecting mindset with the motivation, persistence, and discipline required to pursue new business and uncover customer needs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate professionally with customers, partners, and internal teams.
Strong account management, follow-up, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to balance customer responsiveness with sales priorities.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a systematic approach to managing leads, opportunities, quotes, appointments, and sales-related activities.
Demonstrated accountability, self-motivation, and ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
Ability and willingness to learn a detailed technical product line and translate product knowledge into practical sales support.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience using Customer Relationship Management tools preferred.
