About this role
Airbnb was born in 2007 and has grown to over 5 million hosts worldwide. They are seeking a Product Manager for their API platform to drive product roadmaps and launches, ensuring the success of Airbnb products throughout their lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the API platform
- Synthesize feedback and translate it into product features
- Develop a public and developer facing messaging and narrative for the API platform
- Align product teams and cross functional partners
- Develop partnerships with a focus on supply and demand
- Role model behaviors that encourage open communication and curiosity
- Make judgements and prioritization decisions that are in the best interests of our users
- Efficiently execute to ship products and deliver impact for our business and users
Requirements:
- 8+ years of product management and/or product marketing experience
- 3+ years of product management experience designing and building developer platforms
- Passionate about improving developer productivity, product quality, and automating/optimizing developer workflows
- Demonstrated empathy for key developer pain points, and a track record of leadership in building products for developers
- Experience building strategic relationships with partner executives, senior management and technical staff to achieve business goals
- Experience creating product messaging and delivering to customers and the media
- Demonstrated inbound and subject matter expertise
- Be able to build compelling customer-focused stories and work with marketing and communications partners to bring them to life
- Demonstrated track record of product leadership in a cross functional environment
- Entrepreneurial track record of taking an idea to reality and leading teams through a dynamic environment
- A strong ability to effectively use data and perform business analysis to support product strategy/decisions
- Excited to drive execution across teams in a fast-paced environment
- Enjoys doing individual contributor product management work and staying in the details
- Strong ability and desire to travel frequently, including domestic and international
