AcquiMatch is transforming lives by helping professionals become business owners. As a Business Development Representative, you will drive outreach and build a pipeline of business owners ready to sell, engaging both inbound and outbound leads to generate qualified meetings for the Vetting team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct 50–100 personalized outbound touches per day (mix of cold calls, cold emails, direct mail, and LinkedIn/social touches)
- Identify and proactively contact business owners who fit our ideal profiles
- Craft personalized outreach, LinkedIn messages, direct mail letters, email sequences, that spark interest and conversations
- Conduct qualification calls with owners to understand motivations, timing, and potential fit
- Drive consistent, high-volume, high-quality activity across outbound and inbound channels to generate qualified business owner meetings and build strong pipeline momentum
- Own lead handoff process, provide complete lead notes in CRM, ensure smooth transition to Vetting team
- Maintain consistent follow-up cadence to keep prospects engaged and warm
- Hit or exceed monthly pipeline generation targets (activity, conversations, meetings booked, qualified leads, write-up conversions)
- Keep HubSpot 100% up to date, log all activity, track outcomes, build accurate pipeline reports
- Refine and optimize outreach playbooks, cadences, and messaging to continuously improve results
- Partner with operations to automate workflows and enhance owner experience
- Work closely with the Vetting and Deal Sourcing teams, sharing market intelligence, lead feedback, and opportunities
- Attend weekly team calls and pipeline reviews
- Bring ideas and insights to help us get better, faster
Requirements:
- 2–4+ years in outbound BDR, SDR, prospecting, or appointment-setting roles
- Proven success in high-volume outbound sales environments, 50–100 touches/day across phone, email, LinkedIn, and/or direct mail
- Skilled at conducting qualification conversations, understanding business owner motivations, readiness to sell, and potential fit
- Outstanding phone presence and emotional intelligence
- Able to build trust and rapport quickly, owners feel heard and respected
- Strong written communication, craft engaging, human outreach (not robotic templates) across LinkedIn, email, and direct mail
- CRM power user (HubSpot preferred)
- Highly organized, can manage multiple leads and outreach sequences at once
- Self-motivated and accountable to personal performance and targets
- Strong understanding of small business dynamics and owner psychology
- Quick learner, comfortable mastering new tools and workflows
- Comfortable with rejection, maintains professionalism and persistence
- Thrives in fast-paced, performance-driven environments
- High EQ and grit, keeps moving forward and refining approach
- Experience crafting personalized outreach across multiple channels, email, LinkedIn messaging, and direct mail
- Interest in M&A, SMB acquisition, ETA, or related fields a strong plus
