Cornerstone Systems is a leader in logistics and transportation services, providing exceptional supply chain solutions as a trusted 3PL partner. The Business Development Executive will be responsible for expanding the customer base by identifying and securing new business opportunities, particularly focusing on cross-border growth between the U.S. and Mexico.
Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential clients and industry trends within the logistics and transportation sector where Cornerstone Systems can provide a solution
- Lead Generation : Develop and implement effective lead generation strategies primarily targeting Tier 1& 2 level Shippers /Beneficial Cargo Owners via cold calling, email, industry and networking events, social media and other channels
- Face to Face Meetings : Schedule meetings with qualified leads to effectively represent and market Cornerstone’s solutions and service offerings
- Collaboration : Work closely with Account Management personnel to ensure a successful transition of Client and Customer relationships within the designated timeframe
- Pipeline : Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients, focusing on delivering tailor-made solutions
- Proposal Development : Prepare or support the preparation of compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the specific needs of logistics and transportation clients
- Event Participation : Participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars focused on logistics and transportation
- Marketing Support : Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns
- Travel: Travel to industry events as needed
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the logistics and transportation industry
- Strong understanding of the logistics and transportation industry, including key players, trends, and challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A passion for building relationships and closing deals within the logistics and transportation industry
