GenScript Biotech Corporation is a global biotechnology group committed to improving health through biotechnology. They are seeking a Business Development Manager for Sweet Protein to build relationships with customers, identify leads, and drive sales in the food ingredient line across North and South America.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential customers and partners through proactive communication and regular visits to discuss commercial opportunities in full autonomy
- Identify, investigate and follow up on qualified leads and develop business relationship for potential customers in key market areas
- Maintain and continuously improve understanding of products, applications and markets. Share the insight and knowledge with internal team to optimize product development
- Manage and execute promotional activities using online channels, e.g. social media, industrial media and industry expos/events, etc
- Closely working with the Business team and responsible for driving sales and business development efforts in North/South America to achieve sustainable growth in the food ingredient line
- Manage and execute promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and market penetration
- Working with customers and partners to generate market insight of customer needs and industry trends to support build market strategy for new product launch
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or above and minimum 5 years of relevant B2B sales or business development experience in food ingredients, food & beverage, sweetener or flavor ingredient industry
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- High level of autonomy and the ability to work independently
- Proven success in building relationships with professionals at all organizational levels with internal and external customers
- Elaborate strong approach to generate market knowledge and insight
- Experience for product branding using various channels and tools
