
Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for an adjunct position in the Department of English to teach one section of ENG225 (Intro to Creative Writing): see course description below.. The course(s) will be taught in person beginning August 24, 2026; the employment period extends for two weeks following the completion of the Fall 2026 semester.. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. The rank will be Adjunct Assistant Professor or Adjunct Instructor, depending on qualifications. Applicants should possess or be close to completing a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing (any genre). Teaching experience preferred. The salary is $7,000 per course.

ENG225: Intro to Creative Writing
A general introduction to the modes and means of writing poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction with an emphasis on writing exercises and revision. Students will be introduced to the workshop method of critiquing student writing, which means you'll have the chance to have your work discussed by your peers, and vice-versa. Meets creative writing English major requirement.
