Privateer is seeking a Director of Business Development focused on U.S. Space Force and related space domain organizations. This leader will own the go-to-market and growth strategy for space domain awareness and defense missions, collaborating with executive leadership to align strategies with U.S. Space Force and SDA priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Build and execute a cohesive, data-driven strategy to penetrate, expand, and deliver our clients best-in-class space data and analytics capabilities into Space Force, Space Command, SDA, and other space domain stakeholders (e.g., SSC, SpOC, STARCOM, NASIC, NRO)
- Shape, qualify, and drive capture for opportunities across space domain awareness, space battle management/command and control, defensive and offensive space operations support, and space resilience missions
- Collaborate with executive leadership and product teams to align our growth strategy with U.S. Space Force and SDA priorities (e.g., proliferated LEO architectures, missile warning/missile tracking, PNT, cislunar awareness, space control, and orbital threat characterization)
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with mission owners, program offices, and operators to identify new business opportunities, resolve issues, and provide strategic direction to internal teams
- Establish teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures optimized for space-related IDIQs, OTAs, and other rapid acquisition pathways to create profitable returns at winning cost
- Partner with capture, solutions, engineering, and proposal teams to build differentiated solutions and compelling positioning for key space domain pursuits
- Foster a culture of trust, communication, customer focus, innovation, and continuous improvement across all BD and capture activities
- Develop, maintain, and continuously refine a high-quality pipeline of new opportunities across Space Force, Space Command, SDA, and adjacent space domain customers
- Deliver on financial performance commitments while simultaneously building strategic market growth initiatives and longer-term campaign plans in the space domain
