A Day in the Life as a Scheduling Specialist
A Scheduling Specialist plays a key role in bringing on new customers as we expand our footprint across the state of Kansas. They serve as a coordinator of wireless and fiber installations for residential customers.
Throughout the day, they act as the bridge between our customers and our field teams, ensuring technician time is optimized while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. By collaborating closely with Sales, Construction, and Operations, they ensure that every step of the installation journey is clear, efficient, and professional.
Location:
This role may be remote or hybrid with occasional travel to Buhler as needed to meet business needs.
What You'll Do
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and manage the scheduling of wireless and fiber installations for residential customers.
- Support the Operations team by efficiently rescheduling and updating installation appointments as needed.
- Partner closely with Sales and Construction teams to relay critical updates.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to manage expectations and ensure a positive experience.
- Proactively resolve scheduling conflicts, optimizing technician time allocations and addressing capacity constraints.
- Cross-train to assist with dispatch operations and respond promptly to update requests.
What We're Looking For
To be considered for this role, you'll need the following required qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in scheduling, dispatch or project coordination roles.
- Outstanding communication skills, with a knack for active listening and effective problem resolution.
- Strong critical thinking skills used to analyze scheduling scenarios and implement effective solutions.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
What Will Help You Stand Out
- Previous experience in the telecommunications industry (wireless/fiber).
- Familiarity with scheduling software or CRM systems.
