Job Description
Role Description:
You will join the Customer Success team, whose mission is to ensure the smooth integration, proactive support and loyalty of our customers, while maximizing their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for service improvement and expansion.
Georges and his team (4 people) are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Content Creator to develop comprehensive how-to guides, engaging instructional videos, and in-app content that enhances user experience and helps our audience understand and utilize our products and services effectively.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
- Develop clear, concise, and engaging how-to guides and instructional content for various platforms, including written guides, video tutorials, (and in-app help content).
- Independently test and explore new or updated features to gain a thorough understanding of their functionality and use cases.
Video Production:
- Plan, script, and produce high-quality how-to videos, including recording, editing, and finalizing video content to ensure it meets the needs of our users.
User Research:
- Collaborate with product managers, onboarding, academy and customer support teams to identify user needs and gaps in existing documentation.
Content Management:
- Organize and manage content assets in a content management system, ensuring they are up-to-date, accurate, and accessible.
- Tracking and validating documentation based on established processes.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Implementation team, product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure consistency and accuracy in all instructional content.
Autonomous Task Management and Execution:
- Independently manage and execute projects or tasks from start to finish, ensuring that all objectives are met on time and within scope.
- Organize and prioritize work effectively, coordinate with collaborators as needed, and make decisions that drive progress and maintain alignment with initiatives.
Tool Evolution:
- Regularly research, evaluate, and stay informed about emerging technical tools and technologies relevant to the documentation field.
- Show interest and ability in integrating and mastering new tools and expertise.
Continuous improvement:
- Seek client and colleagues Feedback in order to engage end users for content material adoption
- Ensure optimal impact of our training material
- Quantify and measure content material adoption of end users
Working conditions:
- Location: Montreal
- Permanent full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Hybrid work model
- Languages: Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken, is required.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Key Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Instructional Design, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience creating instructional or technical content.
- Proven experience developing instructional materials, including written guides, video tutorials, and in-app help resources.
- Strong proficiency with video production tools and techniques (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Camtasia).
- Excellent technical writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear, concise, and engaging manner while adhering to industry standards.
- Fluency in English and French, both written and verbal, is required.
- Strong research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently explore product features, gather information from technical documentation, and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Highly organized, with the ability to structure documentation logically and manage multiple initiatives or features simultaneously while maintaining focus on priorities and deliverables.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and deliver high-quality content within deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and completeness in documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with content management systems and basic HTML/CSS knowledge is considered an asset.
