The VP of Engineering will lead teams in developing AI healthcare solutions, ensuring they meet real-world needs while driving the engineering organization towards excellence and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership. Define and execute the technical vision and roadmap aligned with business objectives. Translate company strategy into actionable engineering plans across Data, Software, DevOps, AI, and IT Engineering teams
- Team Leadership and Development. Build, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering teams. Establish a culture of engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation
- Technical Architecture Oversight. Guide the design and evolution of scalable, robust architectures for AI systems, data pipelines, and software platforms. Ensure systems are built for performance, reliability, and security
- AI and ML Development. Lead the development and deployment of sophisticated AI/ML models and applications. Balance research innovation with production-ready implementation
- Data Engineering Excellence. Direct the creation of efficient, scalable data platforms and pipelines that serve as the foundation for AI/ML systems and business intelligence
- DevOps and Infrastructure. Champion DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation. Oversee cloud strategy and implementation to enable rapid development and deployment
- IT Operations and Security. Ensure the reliability, security, and compliance of all technology systems, working closely with the company's CISO. Develop and implement IT policies and procedures that safeguard company and customer data in collaboration with the company's CISO
- Cross-functional Collaboration. Partner across the organization to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet market needs
- Resource Management. Optimize engineering resources, budgets, and timelines. Make strategic decisions about build vs. buy, technical debt, and investment priorities
- Technical Evangelism. Represent the company's engineering capabilities both internally and externally. Support sales and marketing efforts with technical expertise
