Mechanical Engineer

Spark Life Solutions Inc is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers with a strong background in commercial nuclear power and design modification packages. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing engineering design modifications for mechanical systems and components within nuclear power plants.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute design modification packages for mechanical systems and components in nuclear power plants
• Ensure all engineering designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Support and implement Engineering Change Control processes for nuclear utilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review, validate, and approve design changes
• Lead or contribute to modification projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
• Apply Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA) standards throughout the design and implementation process
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship when required
• Review and approve engineering documentation, drawings, and calculations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
• 6–10+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering
• Recent experience in commercial nuclear power, specifically in design modification packages (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations governing nuclear plant mechanical design
• Experience with Engineering Change Control processes in nuclear utilities
• Working knowledge of Nuclear Quality Assurance standards
• Proven ability to lead and drive engineering modification projects is highly preferred
